Pig Iron — Foundry Grade
HS7201.10.11StandardGOST 805-95
Russian foundry-grade pig iron is produced at integrated blast furnace complexes to GOST 805-95, with iron content of ≥93.5% and controlled carbon (3.5–4.2%), silicon (1.2–3.6%), and phosphorus (≤0.30%). Russia exports significant volumes of pig iron through Black Sea and Far East ports. SFERA LLC supplies ПЛ1 and ПЛ2 foundry grades in standard 4–5 kg pigs, bundled to approximately 1–2 MT, with full chemical analysis by independent inspection body. Foundry pig iron is the benchmark feedstock for grey iron, ductile iron, and compacted graphite iron foundry operations. Russian pig iron provides consistent chemical composition at competitive pricing versus domestic scrap charge.
